Freedom: A New Chapter in My Art

Introduction

There’s a special kind of magic that happens when you finally let go of what you think you should be doing and start listening to that little whisper inside that says, “This is where you’re meant to go.”

For me, that whisper became a call, one that has led me to start creating my newest collection, Freedom.

About the Shift

For years, I’ve painted what I’ve loved, vibrant Australian birds, full of colour, joy and character. They’ve always held a special place in my heart (and still do, as they remind me of my Dad and my Poppy). But lately, something deeper has been stirring.

I began to feel this quiet soul-nudge to paint not just what I see, but what I feel. To create art that connects with the soul, both mine and yours. The kind that speaks softly but lingers long after you’ve looked away.

That’s where Freedom comes in. It’s a collection born from intuition, trust, and a willingness to let the brush, and the heart, lead.

What Freedom Means to Me

Freedom, for me, is about listening to my inner guidance and giving myself permission to explore. It’s about colour flowing more intuitively, softer brushstrokes that breathe, and stories that carry energy beyond the canvas.

It’s painting without rules, allowing texture and movement to tell their own stories, sometimes wild, sometimes soft, always heartfelt.

Freedom really is courage. It’s being brave enough to change direction, to paint from the soul, to be seen as you truly are.

A Sneak Peek into What’s Coming

This new collection explores not just freedom in art, but freedom in being. Freedom to really step into who I am meant to be. To no longer be nervous of sharing the real me.
You’ll see women and birds appearing in new ways, expressive, emotional, and full of symbolism.

It’s a reflection of stepping into my truth and into your truth, releasing old expectations, and finding beauty in vulnerability.

If you’ve ever felt the pull to start something new, to reinvent yourself, or to follow your intuition, I hope this collection reminds you that it’s safe to do so.

From My Heart to Yours

This is more than a new direction, it’s a homecoming. It's really about trusting those nudges and messages that come from nowhere. Of connecting to my soul and painting what I feel I need and what, hopefully, you need.

I’m excited (and a little nervous!) to share this next chapter with you, because it feels like the truest version of me yet.
