Would you like a unique piece of art created specifically for you?

Cassie Holmes Art Commissions

Commissions are the perfect way to create a special and unique piece for you and your home, your office, or even as a gift for that someone special.

Finding the perfect art piece for your home can be challenging, particularly if you’re looking for a piece that has a certain subject, colour palette or a particular size to compliment your beautiful space. The perfect solution to this is to commission a specific piece that will meet your desires.

Please note: When you engage me to create a special commissioned piece of art, you are engaging me to apply my unique set of artistic skills, flair, perspective and process to your dreams. The piece will always be in my style. 🩷

An email I received from a lovely collector who recently had these two fun pieces commissioned:

I've just been to the post office and collected the artwork. They took forever to open them, but when I did I cried. They are beautiful. 🩷

  1. Simply contact me (below) to let me know you would like to commission your own beautiful artwork.

  2. I get back to you to either organise an online catch-up to discuss, or send you a form to complete so you can communicate what you’re after in the piece.

  3. I review your requirements and together we’ll finalise the details.

  4. I email you to confirm all details and include my Commission Contract.

  5. You sign the contract and pay the agreed 50% non-refundable deposit.

  6. I sign the contract and return it to you following receipt of your deposit.

  7. I create your gorgeous painting. Depending on several factors, the process from you signing the contract to me completing the artwork can take 4-12 weeks.

  8. Once the piece is completed, I send you final images. I’ll often create two pieces at once, if so, I’ll provide photos of both pieces at completion. You are then able to select which piece you would prefer. The remaining piece will be added to my website for sale. Alternatively, you may choose to invest in both pieces, the choice is yours!

  9. You review the final images and approve. One hour of edits after completion of the artwork is included at no additional costs. Beyond that, a service fee of $40.00 per hour will be incurred and paid prior to delivery.

  10. Because I paint thickly with oil paints, drying time can vary from 4-8 weeks before it will be suitable to ship. Once it is ready to be shipped, I’ll contact you with an invoice for your final payment.

  11. Upon receipt of final payment, I lovingly package your new artwork, ship it to you and advise you of the shipping details. If you live locally, I’ll deliver it personally or you’re welcome to collect it from me.

  12. You receive a unique and beautiful art piece created just for you! You hang it in the perfect spot where you can sit back with a coffee, or cocktail, and happily gaze at your new art. 🥰🩷

The below are some questions to ask yourself that may help you decide what you’d like me to commission, or what you’d like it to look like:

  1. Which of my pieces are your favourite and why? This will help to determine what you already like about my work and make it easier to finalise your special commission piece.

  2. What is the most important aspect of your favourite pieces? This will help me know what you really want in your piece. For instance, you may like the thick texture of a piece rather than the actual subject.

  3. What would you change from your favourite pieces? This will provide me with more insight, but it doesn’t mean that it will be included in your piece. For instance, if it’s something that doesn’t suit my style then it won’t work. I can only paint like me.
