I love using thick oil paint and palette knives to create rich, textured artwork. Although Peregrine Falcons are not as colourful as many of my other subjects, I found great joy in painting them. The texture and personality of these magnificent birds truly shine through in "Falk." The background also features textured elements, adding depth and interest to the piece.
Peregrine Falcons can be found across Australia, often perched or nesting on building ledges in cities. While they may not be as vibrant as some of my other subjects, their majestic presence and striking features have made them a favourite to paint. Painting these birds in pairs adds a sense of companionship and harmony, reflecting their natural behaviours and my own appreciation for their beauty.
